As the year turns and a new chapter begins, we welcome the 2026 Lunar New Year with joy and gratitude. On behalf of the American TCM Association, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and sincere New Year wishes to all our long-standing and new members, as well as to friends from all walks of life who have supported our association.
Looking back on 2025, we are filled with gratitude and appreciation. Thanks to your unwavering trust, support, and active participation, our association has been able to unite consensus and pool strength, achieving a series of meaningful and influential accomplishments in academic exchange, organizational development, international cooperation, industry promotion, and the promotion of TCM culture. Every step of our progress reflects the wisdom and hard work of all our members, and every achievement is the result of your collective effort and selfless dedication.
Looking forward to 2026, we are confident and committed to our mission. The American TCM Association will continue to uphold the principles of “serving our members, promoting scholarship, and advancing the industry,” embracing innovation while respecting tradition, and further enhancing our professional leadership, organizational cohesion, and social impact.

2025 Highlights – Top 10 Achievements
01. Successfully Held the 11th Annual U.S. TCM Conference
The 11th U.S. TCM Conference was held in Phoenix in October 2025. Experts and scholars from the U.S., China, Canada, and other countries gathered to discuss “Enhancing Clinical Effectiveness of Acupuncture and Sharing Clinical Experience.” Through keynote presentations and case sharing, attendees gained valuable clinical insights, strengthening academic exchange and practical application.
02. Completed Association Leadership Transition
In April 2025, the American TCM Association successfully completed its leadership transition, electing a new president and executive board in compliance with regulations. This milestone infused new energy into the association and further strengthened organizational structure and governance.
03. Signed Formal MOU with NCCAOM
The American TCM Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), establishing long-term cooperation in academic exchange, continuing education, industry standards, and international promotion of TCM.
04. Established Strategic Partnership with ASA
The American TCM Association formally signed a strategic partnership with the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA). The collaboration covers education, academic resource sharing, industry initiatives, and public policy, jointly enhancing the role of TCM and acupuncture in mainstream healthcare.
05. Completed Integration with the U.S. Alumni Association
The American TCM Association integrated the U.S. Alumni Association into its structure, strengthening long-term, stable, and sustainable development. This integration enables resource sharing, complementary strengths, and mutual support for both organizations.
06. Hosted 40 High-Level Online Academic Lectures and Co-Hosted the 5th “Beauty Month” Event with Chengdu University of TCM
Throughout the year, the American TCM Association hosted 40 high-quality Zoom lectures covering clinical practice, research, education, and specialty areas. Additionally, the association co-hosted the 5th “Beauty Month” series with Chengdu University of TCM, enhancing international academic collaboration and promoting TCM specialties.
07. Submitted Updated Clinical Acupuncture Indications to WHO
Based on evidence-based medicine and clinical practice, the American TCM Association submitted professional recommendations to the World Health Organization (WHO) to update acupuncture clinical indications, contributing to the scientific recognition and standardized application of acupuncture worldwide.
08. Published Over 20 Academic Papers in Leading International Medical Journals
In 2025, the American TCM Association expert team published more than 20 papers in top journals such as The Lancetand JAMA, significantly enhancing the international academic influence of TCM.
09. Launched the American TCM Association Newsletter
The association officially launched its newsletter to present updates, academic insights, clinical experience, and educational information, strengthening member engagement and industry communication. The association continues to publish the U.S. edition of the World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
10. Successfully Held the 2025 Global TCM New Year Celebration
The American TCM Association hosted the “2025 Global TCM New Year Celebration,” bringing together practitioners and supporters worldwide to celebrate the Lunar New Year, promote TCM culture, and strengthen global TCM identity and community.
